Other Community Service Projects |
 |
At the request of our membership, the NC Academy of Trial Lawyers arranges community service opportunities throughout the year through which attorneys share their time and resources. In December 2006, we partnered with the Salvation Army in a program of giving. As part of that project, our members contributed 280 winter coats to field offices throughout the state.
In early 2008, the Academy sponsored a training designed to help member attorneys volunteer legal help to low-income families dealing with mortgage foreclosures in NC. For project information or to learn about your eligibility for free legal help, follow these links: project details and press release.
In 2007, other succesful projects included the sponsorship of 17 kids to attend the Salvation Army's summer camp program in Denton, NC and two canned food drives. Members, click here for details
